How does the prepaid wallet work?
You deposit money (GHS) into your Spark Messaging wallet via Mobile Money or card. Each SMS sent deducts the per-SMS rate from your balance. You can only send as many messages as your balance allows.
What is a Sender ID?
A Sender ID is the name that appears as the sender of your SMS (e.g., "MYBRAND"). You request one through your dashboard and we approve it within 24–48 hours after verifying your business.
How quickly are SMS messages delivered?
Most messages are delivered within seconds for local Ghana networks. International delivery times vary by destination country but are typically under 30 seconds.
Can I use the API to send SMS from my app?
Yes. We provide a REST API that you can integrate into any app or website. See our API documentation for PHP, Python, and JavaScript examples.
What happens to undelivered messages?
Messages that fail to deliver are not charged. Your wallet is only debited for successfully submitted messages. You can view failed messages in your delivery reports.
